NUKOTE FR Polyurea fire-resistant material

In modern society, there are still many wooden buildings, and they require suitable fire-resistant coatings. According to the fire resistance requirements of fire-resistant panels from the largest cooling tower manufacturer in the United States (MIDWEST COOLING TOWERS), they must comply with the fire protection standard ASTM E84 class 1 as a basis.

The fire protection standard ASTM E84 is based on Flame Spread Index (FSI) and Smoke Developed Index (SDI). Class 1 compliance means FSI < 25 and SDI < 450.

Characteristics

  1. It’s 100% solid and VOC-free.
  2. It can be directly sprayed onto the substrate to be protected, and it reacts and cures quickly, allowing for a fast application that reduces construction time.
  3. It provides excellent thermal insulation and fire-resistant properties to the substrate, protecting it from combustion damage.
  4. It exhibits good chemical resistance and excellent UV resistance.
燃燒一段時間後FR塗料表面僅焦黑未穿透
After burning for a period of time, the surface of the FR coating has turned only charred black without penetration.

Applications

  • Electrical poles
  • Wood
  • Steel structures
  • Fire protection and waterproofing of concrete
  • Fire lining in tunnels
  • Warehouse floors with highly flammable products
  • Cargo holds and general ship hull lining
  • Encapsulation and protection of fiberglass, polystyrene, and PU spray foam
現代社會仍有許多木造建物,而其需要適合的防火塗料
In modern society, there are still many wooden structures, and they require suitable fire-resistant coatings.
Excellent Temperature and Heat Resistance: When continuously burning on the surface of the FR coating at a fire source temperature of approximately 400°C, the temperature on the backside (substrate) remains below 27°C.
Temperature Resistance and Flame Retardancy: After burning for a period of time, the surface of the FR coating only turns black without penetration. In contrast, when the substrate is directly exposed to fire, the surface is damaged.
